Food Table Runner

Spent yesterday at Aunt Clara's house, had a great visit with her and her daughter Carole. Carole has a new toy that cuts fabric, so she helped me plan a table runner. Small project to start to learn how to use the cutter. I have been collecting food fabric for a while, so I was excited to do this project.

I was nice to "bounce" ideas about sewing off each other and learn from each other.

 I have enough cut out to do 3or4 table runners, but Carole told me I can only make 2 and then move onto another project. Knowing me I feel like I have to use every piece up and will make the same quilt until all the stuff is used up! But I have an idea how to use all the pieces up, I'll show her!

keep it simple sweetheart

After Christmas - a season of overindulgence I have some goals for 2011. Even the start of this year is simple 1-1-11, very interesting. I hate "New Years Resolutions" I always seem to break all that I set, as do most people. But I would like to simplify my life a little more and enjoy the small things more, shop less, not buy into our overspending/overdoing culture, not keep up with the Jones's, be happier, talk less - listen more, cry less and smile more, eat simply real food, be around simple honest people that are positive - like my sweet husband.

Let's quit making life so complicated and slow down, have less and want less.
